ABOUT

ART IS IN MY VEINS. I have been creating some type of art my entire life. Crayons were my first love, their scent still makes smile. I asked for paints, glue guns, big paper, glitter, markers, stencils, wood burner, spirographs, etc. for gifts. Anything to feed that hunger to create. My family moved a lot. High school was move number 14. Art became my lifeline, my way to feel heard because I felt invisible.

IN 2010, I FELT A NEED to feed that creative hunger again. A DIY decor project, a simple two color canvas for my bathroom, quickly turned into more paints, bigger canvas, let's add texture, let's go bigger! My walls were my audience and I was Oprah with a paint brush, "You get a canvas, and you get a canvas, every one of you gets a canvas"!  A friend urged me to join the Art Guild, which led to my first art show and my first sale. I was hooked. Still working full-time, but evenings and weekends were carved out for painting, installs, shows and commissions here and there.

 Fast forward to 2018, I left my corporate cubicle to become a full-time artist. (Fun fact - there are fifteen commissioned paintings of mine currently hanging in that corporate building.) This journey is just beginning.
